El Dorado is Shakira's eleventh studio album and one of her most personal creative achievements. Released primarily in Spanish with three English-language tracks, the album marked a triumphant return after a period of significant personal and artistic transition. Following her self-titled tenth studio album (2014), Shakira welcomed her second child, navigated writer's block, and faced deep uncertainty about her musical future.
The turning point came through her collaboration with Carlos Vives on "La Bicicleta," which reignited Shakira's passion for songwriting. Drawing inspiration from her relationship with FC Barcelona defender Gerard Piqué, El Dorado is a deeply intimate record; candid, emotional, and rooted in lived experience. Longtime collaborator Luis Fernando Ochoa returned to help shape the sound, joined by producers Supa Dups, Rude Boyz, and The Arcade, blending Latin pop and reggaeton into a cohesive, danceable whole.
This pressing is a limited yellow colored vinyl LP, a rare collector's variant sought after by Shakira fans and Latin music enthusiasts alike.
