Willoughby Tucker, I'll Always Love You is the sophomore album from Ethel Cain, the multimedia project of Florida-born artist Hayden Anhedonia, and a long-awaited companion to the critically acclaimed Preacher's Daughter. Where Preacher's Daughter traced Ethel's tragic end, Willoughby Tucker goes back to the beginning: the story of her first love, a humid and heavy romance that set everything else in motion.
Anhedonia wrote and recorded the album across home studios in Coraopolis, Pennsylvania and Tallahassee, Florida, building it entirely on her own terms while selling out tours and commanding festival stages worldwide. The result is an album that expands the Ethel Cain mythology while standing completely on its own: intimate, cinematic, and unmistakably hers.
This is one of the most anticipated releases in the Ethel Cain catalog, and one of the few records in this preservation series tied to an active, living mythology still unfolding in real time.
